Pastor Gary Dittman

Pastor Gary arrived to Amazing Grace in the middle of August last year.  He is married to Karen, a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Johns Hopkins Hospital.  He is a graduate of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in Chicago.  He was formerly the Pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lincolnton, NC, and is grateful God has called him to serve and walk with the people of Amazing Grace and East Baltimore.

Sister Kati Kluckman-Ault

Sister Kati has been serving at Amazing Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church since 2001.  She has been a registered nurse for over 30 years mostly in community health.  She was consecrated as a deaconess by the Lutheran Deaconess Association in 2002 and was rostered as a Diaconal Minister in the ELCA in 2005.  She has been teaching a parish nurse course since 2005.  Sr. Kati is a graduate of Seattle University (1976) and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (2004).  She is married to Brian and is the mother of 3 children.

Morgan Blizzard

Morgan Blizzard is a 2009-2010 Lutheran Volunteer Corps member and is serving as the food ministry coordinator here at Amazing Grace.  She recently graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a degree in Spanish.  Being a native Marylander, Morgan is excited to be living and working in Baltimore and hopes to get to know this community well and help meet the needs of our neighbors.

Carol Perlie

Carol Perlie is the Office Administrator.  She is the mother of one daughter, one son, and one nephew:  Ray, James, and Isaiah.  She has two master degrees:  Spiritual and Pastoral Care and Church Ministries which focus on Congregational Leadership.   Even though she functions primarily in the role of Office Manager and Administrative Assistant for Amazing Grace, she serves the congregation and the community as a psalmist, as an ordained minister, and as an evangelist.   She is also involved in the ministry of grief recovery and 12 step recoveries.

Dennis Sherman

Dennis Sherman, resident Bass Player at Amazing Grace, was born and raised in East Baltimore.  After trying several musical instruments through out his early childhood, he began playing bass guitar at age twelve, and played with several Baltimore area bands.
Though he is also a freelance bass player, he finds playing at Amazing Grace to be very rewarding and spiritually uplifting.  Dennis feels like his musical talent comes from God, his parents and his school music teachers.
He is also Sexton at Amazing Grace and is a computer hardware technician.

Regis Cottman

Regis was born and raised in Baltimore City. He had formal training during my elementary school years in piano and drums. He was a part of the Maryland State Boy’s Choir from February, 2001 to April, 2005, where he took more music theory and had vocal training. He has also participated in the TWIGS program at the Baltimore School for the Arts Saturday program and the Encounters program at Center Stage. Currently, he is pursuing his Undergraduate degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Sociology. He is also taking private lessons from James D. Alston, Director of Music at New Psalmist Baptist Church. He participates in various concerts and various events throughout the year with other young church musicians.

Tyrone Stokes

Tyrone Stokes is resident percussionist and psalmist.  He is well versed in the worship experience from many angles.  He has been involved in music ministry since around 15 years old when he first began singing with the churches 300 voice choir.  Shortly after joining the choir he expanded and began playing bongo's and then on to playing the full set of drums.  Today God has blessed him to sing, write, and record his first CD along with many of his friends that joined up with him.  This after being prompted to do more musically for many years.  For more info about his CD please contact the church.

Hello Reader: I do look forward to the Worship experience each and every Sunday and I would be so pleased and excited to meet and worship with you on your visit to the Amazing Grace.

God Bless! See you on Sunday.     T. Harvey Stokes

As a graduate of Towson University in Piano Performance (Fall 2005), he has directed his tenacious study of music towards traditional, popular and contemporary Gospel styles. He is thankful for every opportunity to lead in worship and to be sensitive to the Spirit of God that moves in, around and through people during any service.
